My Journey
Earlier Days:
Building in Travel Tech & AI
I thoroughly enjoyed my earlier career in travel technology, representing multiple brands and learning quickly! My proudest moment was in leading a pivotal project that aligned 14 countries under a single global business travel solution. This experience solidified my ability to navigate complex commercial landscapes and ensuring alignment across stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions.
As I transitioned into AI in 2017, I worked with industrial businesses across SA, Europe, and the Americas to integrate AI-driven solutions, ensuring adoption through hands-on training and enablement. At the same time, I was deeply involved in commercial operations - leading territory expansion and global partnership efforts efforts across the North America, Brazil, and Germany for some time, managing strategic partnerships and their journey with us, and structuring sales and partner frameworks that positioned both our company for long-term growth.
Sales Enablement, EdTech & Business Model Innovation
Recognising the power of education and enablement, I took on new challenges in sales consulting and online education. My time as an Educator was an incredibly meaningful and wonderful learning journey for me too. During this time, I designed and delivered a recognised professional diploma in B2B sales, which also led to mentoring professionals from across the world. This reinforced my belief that continuous learning and expansion is a key driver for career growth.
Returning to a commercial role in EdTech, I helped design industry-changing B2B micro-learning and gig economy business models focused on scarce and in-demand skills in South Africa. Our mission was to create meaningful learning and work opportunities for unemployed youth - particularly TVET students who typically cannot afford University - by providing high-quality, practical content to improve their employability.
I not only built the B2B division of the Naspers-funded scale-up but also played a key role in structuring business models aimed at tackling unemployment, developing commercial growth strategies, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to drive innovation. It was during this time that my passion for leading cross-functional collaboration workshops really took off—they became a powerful way to bring people together, solve problems, and spark new ideas.

Learning & Development at Scale
I was then recruited as the first hire in Africa for a leading online learning company, where I worked with global organisations to implement learning and development initiatives for teams ranging from 500 to 40,000 users. My focus was to help businesses build a culture of continuous learning and adaptability, ensuring long-term transformation at scale. I worked closely with key stakeholders in driving a culture of learning and engaging with stakeholders to drive adoption and engagement.
I had the honour of contributing to the development of critical capabilities across some of Sub-Saharan Africa’s largest enterprise businesses - working closely with HR, L&D teams, C-suite leaders, managers, and end-users alike. My collaborative approach was key to success, helping clients map out their current and future states and co-design practical, actionable paths to get there.
Evolving into a
Portfolio Career
As my career progressed, I embraced the portfolio model, blending consulting, enablement, and education into a dynamic, collaborative approach. I'm humbled to be doing incredible work through my consultancy and my businesses.
Through my work with MiDO Academy, I focus on partnerships that drive commercial growth and sustainability for the Academy ands ambitious learners and team.
Meanwhile, Skills Cove brings together my expertise in strategic enablement and change strategy, supporting businesses in bridging the gap between strategy and execution. Alongside this, I continue to manage Connexion Cove as a hub for outsourced sales solutions.
